The House

Old money doesn't keep buying new. It buys once, buys well, and keeps it. That is the safety razor: one metal razor for life, with a blade that costs about a euro a Sunday, instead of plastic cartridges replaced every week. Expensive to buy, cheap to own.

Grand Manner makes one razor, its set, its blades, and a standing arrangement for the blades. A short list, on purpose.

The name

"The grand manner" is the eighteenth-century term for the way English portrait painters portrayed the aristocracy: composed, dignified, timeless. The word manner also carries our first value.

Three values

I · Class. Quality that lasts generations. Metal, not plastic. Weight, not features.

II · Manners. Being well turned out is a form of respect for others. The shave is for the room you walk into.

III · Composure. Calm, precision, taking your time. A single blade rewards a steady hand.

The House

There is no founder's face here. The House itself is the character: a well-mannered, quietly confident member of an old sporting club. Our customers are members. Every razor ships with a numbered welcome letter and an After You card, because one is enough, and the other is for passing on.

Welcome. You are in excellent company.
