How to use

Five steps, in the right order, with the right amount. Every head of hair is different: start with a little, you can always add more.

  1. Wash, then keep it soaking wet

Step 1: Wash, then keep it soaking wet

Wash with a mild, sulphate-free shampoo and rinse well. Then don't squeeze it out or wrap it in a towel: everything that follows only works on really wet hair.

  2. Curl Defining Cream

    Step 2: Curl Defining Cream

A hazelnut per side. Spread with your hands and scrunch upwards: squeeze your curls towards your head. Start with a little.

  3. Curl Hold Gel

    Step 3: Curl Hold Gel

One walnut, over the cream while your hair is still dripping. Scrunch until your curls feel smooth and coated.

  4. Let it dry

    Step 4: Let it dry

Air dry, or use a diffuser on low. Leave it alone until it's completely dry. Then scrunch the gel cast out.

  5. Oil on the ends

Step 5: Oil on the ends

Curl Finishing Oil, two or three drops, between your hands and over the ends. Day 2 and 3: dampen your hair, a tiny bit of cream, scrunch.

Common questions

How do I refresh my curls the next day?

Dampen your hair with water, add a tiny bit of cream if it needs it, scrunch and let it dry.

Which shampoo should I use?

A mild, sulphate-free shampoo, once or twice a week. No need to wash in between: water and a tiny bit of cream are enough.

My hair feels greasy.

Usually that means too much product or not enough water. Use a little less and make sure your hair is soaking wet.

My curls are frizzy.

Try more water, a little more product, or both. And try not to touch your hair while it dries.

My curls feel soft but not very defined.

Without a gel cast, curls are softer. If you want more hold, finish with a little more gel on very wet hair.

Does my routine change as I get older?

The steps stay the same. What changes is your hair: often drier, stiffer and quicker to frizz, especially once it goes grey. Give it a little more moisture: keep it really soaking wet and use a bit more cream.
